austin

We drove around Austin, took a tour of the Capitol, ate at a restaurant on Lake Austin and at as many places featured on Man vs. Food and some antique mall shopping.

Hard to tell, but the points of the star spells out Texas.

best. donut. ever.

san antonio

Matt took this week off, so we took a little road trip to explore central Texas.

We visited the Alamo.

Walked up and all around the River walk.

Ate at Mi Tierra Restaurant and  Bakery while shopping at Market Square, a shopping center filled with pottery, home decor and other trinkets.

Stumbled upon beautiful San Fernando Cathedral while walking Downtown. It is the burial place for James Bowie, William Travis and Davy Crockett and the oldest, active Cathedral in the US.

Few of the photos taken on the River walk. I can't remember that last time I have walked this much.

christmas

We had a wonderful, wonderful Christmas! I love the Christmas season. You can't beat spending time with family, the decorations, food, and giving gifts. I can't believe 2010 is already coming to an end.

Nathan and Katie brought Christmas early.
Matt and I before Christmas Eve festivities. These included; playing carols with chimes, singing the 12 days of Christmas, reading the Christmas story and other spiritual thoughts, and of course, delicious food with friends and family.
Some of our favorite gifts. I am resting my feet of the foot massager Matt gave me as I type this.
My favorite Christmas tree.
Another favorite are these beautiful, greatly detailed Christmas stockings hanging above the fireplace my Grandma Nelson made for each of us when we were born.
As usual, the rest of the day was spent in our pajamas, calling family and eating more food.

drum roll please

We finally know where we are moving! I can finally start planning and stop posting about dogs. I was going slightly crazy there. I don't do well with the unknown.

Now, I am going to be obsessing and researching my brains out about...

Portland, Oregon

We will have skiing, the coast, family and the beautiful, great outdoors at our reach!
We are so excited!

this gave me goosebumps

This happens and I'm kicking myself for never have been inside the Provo Tabernacle.

rachie's here and i love christmas!

Bu is dressed up everyday for work and it's a rare occasion when I'm wearing something other than jeans and a t-shirt, so when we were both dressed up for a Christmas party, I had to capture the moment and take pictures.

I love being home, I love spending time with my family and friends, and I can't believe Christmas is almost here!
