"the luke"

Abbie and Maddie bought a poster of Justin Bieber for their Uncle Nathan and the "The Bieber" became Luke's new picture pose. I've decided to start calling it "The Luke" since he's way cooler.

our newest niece, baby hannah

Moving from Dallas to the Portland area gave us the chance to stop and see family along the way.

No one knew if the newest Nelson would be a boy or girl and the dark hair was also a fun surprise. Baby Hannah proved me wrong in thinking that all newborns cry all the time. I've never been around a newborn for this long and she made caring for a newborn look like a piece of cake. Obviously, it's not, but I look forward to the experience if our future babes are like her, sleeping 18-22 hours a day and only getting fussy when hungry and gassy. She is so sweet and I loved holding her! Her brother and sisters love to hug her and give her kisses.

dad turned the big 5 9 today

He spent it loading all our stuff onto the moving truck and making sure we are ready for the big move. He is a good great dad.

Happy Birthday Daddy-o!

the awkward years: pictures #2 & #3

These pictures bring back a flood of memories.

I remember dying a little bit inside as the hair stylist was sculpting my hair into this puff. My haircut was already bad enough, but they took it to a whole new level with an offensive amount of teasing and hair spray. This would be considered a mullet, right? I couldn't believe that my mom and the people doing this to me thought that this was cute. I'm surprised I didn't break down and cry during the photo shoot.

few things excite me, part 2

We can still get our fry sauce fix.

"This ain't made in Salt Lake City."

While posting about special sauces, I might as well throw in that I had my first Big Mac.
According to Bu, I am officially an American now.
I wasn't impressed. Too much bread and not enough meat.
